OK, Clare, you got me, I can't resist the challenge... Are they lemon cucumbers?

By the way, I LOVE Edith! The picture needs company, though....

Ok -- I am in too. The look to me like Green Tomato Quarters. Are you pickling them? I noticed the stick of cinnamon so perhaps you are going for a sweet/ sour thing.

What a fun thing to do to get us all to post.

Love you so Joseph

Ok - I would like to submit another idea, just in case. In short, I am hooked - mostly cause I love Clare's art work!

So I am thinking what else in Oregon can possibly be harvested this early and made into something...think Joseph think. Pedal Joseph Pedal, damn these are big hills. OK new tack - Think Clare and Brian, what do Brian and Clare and BTF do best? They prepare wonderful dinners. Then it hit me: Nocino! AKA -Bitters for after supper at the Big Table. Oregon is famous not only for its Pinot but for its nuts too - hazelnuts, walnuts, filberts and yes even married "nuts" who make their own bitters for all whom they share their table with. ( To be honest it was the cinnamon stick that got me going: a little cinnamon, sugar and a bit of alcohol with green walnuts)

I hope this is right otherwise I am gonna feel really silly wasting my whole bike ride thinking about this. Oh well it was fun

Dearest Clare, oh you do open up the world to new treats! Some years ago (before Eoin and Kate were born) we had some Truffles from Glenstal Abbey with Nocino. You know those religious find interesting things to do with "medicinal alcohol". So here's my request, can you share some of that Nocino with Mary and I promise to help her convert it into some her famous Truffles with Callebaut Chocolate for Big Table's Christmas Dinner. Please!
