an evening walk...

So I went out side to do the evening chores and that same elk heard was in that same field having there evening snack... see them back those little dots there in that back field???...so I decided to finish throwing hay and take a walk in there general direction to see if I could get a little closer to take better look and maybe snap a photo ..... that being said the fact that I'm using a marco lense in low light my hopes were not high... so forgive the bad photos and just imigine me in full rain gear trying to sneek up on these creatures.. oh and with a dog at my side.. NOT!!!

so I head down the fence line of the cow pasture -- swish swish swish go the rain pants .. and the dog who I've told to heal is whining of course as she would LOVE to chase them!!

so it's only matter of time they see me and decide to head for higher ground...

there are some very pretty bulls in the bunch

so I head up a very steep hill to catch another peek now it's swish swish swish and pant pant pant... oh the dog well she's still whining...

I think they might just maybe have seen me : )

yup there they go...

so I turned back and headed home where there was a warm fire and dinner that is a little easier to get my hands on.

Hello there,

This is a inquiry for the webmaster/admin here at oregonfarm.blogspot.com.

May I use part of the information from your blog post above if I give a link back to your website?

Thanks,

Clare! What a LOVELY walk with Clementine and such lovely so hard to catch shots - you are so good at capturing life - in the moment - it gives me shivers as though I were really there seeing that herd. Thank you my dear dear friend! bee

What a lovely herd! It was a fairly good day for a walk-- not too much rain and not too cold, with the right socks.

How is Clementine? Any pups on the way?

Melie and I were talking about your farm the other day. You've made a HUGE, positive impression on my little girl. So much so that my little boy can't wait to meet you and all the animals and see the farm. I hope we can get together again soon.

I love this post... You have written it with such Clare flair that it makes it easy to picture you, to hear your pants, and of course "lemon lime" and what a treat to have that warm fire to return home to.... Makes me want to come visit!
