summer marches on as does goatio!

Goatio is inspecting the paint color -  she was quite pleased with how it sets off the trusses : )

There is still a lot to do in the short weeks left till the grapes roll in the pressure is high for sure...

siding, roofing, power, water, drain-field, driveway and drainage and crush pad (among other things) still to be completed...  it's a lot but things are mostly in place materials are stacked up and the guys are working away...

I'm admittedly nervous - with needing winery licenses - as soon as we have power, water and doors : ), and having to move from our old facility, do the fall 2012 release -- oh and bottle the 2013 vintage in two weeks time!... we have a fair bit on our plates.... but at this point I just have to trust our team...

In the mean time - we slaughtered two cows from our heard and happily that as usual went well... Always a heart filled day... with gratitude for the lives taken.

My Friends Sarah came back again this year - she is my go to helper for all things cows - wheather it's catching bulls or young bull calves for castration she's my right hand cowgirl!! we have a lot of fun wrangling cows together and I couldn't do it with out her : ) - It's also fun to celebrate with a glass when we are done  - love you sarah!

And last but not least I got to taste through the entire '13 vintage with brian - We had a much needed quiet day last week and walked through the wines, discussing each one as well as made single vineyard decisions, blends, and special bottlings  -- It was treasured time with my hubs and we are both excited about the 2013 vintage! : )

there hasn't been too much time for riding but have have snuck in a few rides between everything else - goatio loves to always be in the mix weather is work or recreation : ) thanks mila for the photo!!

Wine tasting is always fun. Been to a few wineries myself, though I haven't been to any wineries in Oregon yet (been to a few both in Washington and California, near Sacramento).
